G...lamour, Bond, Books and Film

Apr 13th private View of the City Book Reads,' G...lamour, Bond, Books and Film’

An exhibition entitled ‘G...lamour, Bond, Books and Film’ will take place at Gallery 100, Queens Road, Brighton, until 30 April. Inspired by The City Reads book 2010, From Russia with Love by Ian Fleming, the exhibition includes paintings, photography, jewellery and memorabilia relating to the theme. Paintings by self-taught, London, artist Paul Lemmon, soak up the culture and colour of glamorous city life – the overall effect being one of seductive, cinematic urgency. Photographs by Adrian De La Court and CJ Taylor draw on Film Noir, Renaissance and burlesque styles, targeting a contemporary audience and fanciful jewellery and objects by Lux & Love add a touch of nostalgia. Memorabilia, on private loan, includes photos and reminisences from actors/actresses who have worked with Roger Moore, Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan. The exhibition runs until 30 April and is open 10am to 5pm, Monday to Friday. Admission free. Gallery 100, DMH Stallard, 100 Queens Road, Brighton, BN1 3YB.
